The Mecca Center’s Outreach Committee recently participated in a multicultural fest at Indian Prairie Library on November 10. Several local groups came together for a celebration of diversity. It was a wonderful evening in which Mecca youth including Salma Jabri and Aneeba Farooqui displayed intricate artistry through henna application.

Sister Aliya Hirzallah and Brother Hazem Junid delighted participants by writing their names in highly decorative calligraphy. Many people were interested in the literature about the Mecca Center and expressed an interest in visiting and learning more. All in all, it was a highly creative and vibrant experience!

Special thanks to Sister Zuka Jabri, Salma Jabri and Lubna Farooq for putting this together, and to Shereen Hussain and Sabina Rizvan for their help.
