Alhamdulillah, we are blessed to continue our Mecca Meals mission of serving hot dinners to the residents of the DuPagePads Interim Housing Center.

Thank you to all of our enthusiastic and hardworking volunteers who are passionate about keeping this program going!

The shelter is home to more than 100 children. This summer, we added a children’s activity program that runs during the meal service. Mecca volunteers organized a free book fair, arts and crafts stations, and face painting for the children.

Thanks to our community’s generous donations to the Mecca Meals Fund, we were able to provide books and art supplies to the children. We are also planning to host a Back-to-School Fair in August, inshaAllah.
