Brothers’ Youth Religious Advisor

As the Brothers Religious Advisor for Mecca MVMT, I’m honored to walk alongside our youth as they navigate their faith and daily lives. My goal is to offer guidance rooted in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and our scholarly tradition, while nurturing a genuine love for seeking knowledge, good character, and sincere worship. I pray Allah allows us to raise a generation that is confident in its identity, grounded in its faith, and committed to serving Him and His creation.

Sisters’ Youth Religious Advisor

As-Salamu Alaykum!My name is Eiman Sunbulli, and I am honored to serve as the Sisters’ Youth Religious Advisor at The Mecca Center.

For over 20 years, I have had the privilege of serving Muslim youth through youth programs, camps, spiritual retreats, and teaching at both full-time and weekend Islamic schools. I hold a Master’s degree in Political Science and have pursued traditional Islamic studies in Damascus, Syria, and Amman, Jordan.

As a wife and mother of four daughters, I deeply appreciate the importance of having a community where young women feel supported, valued, and connected. I hope to serve as a trusted resource, and as someone they can turn to as they navigate faith, friendships, and life’s many opportunities and challenges.

Above all, I pray that Mecca Center becomes a home away from home-a place where every young woman feels a genuine sense of belonging, sisterhood, and purpose, and where her relationship with Allah continues to grow and flourish.

Leith Jawich

Youth Director

As-salāmu ʿalaykum,
My name is Leith Jawich and I am honored to serve as the Youth Director at The Mecca Center. Having grown up within the Mecca community, I bring a personal understanding of its values and mission to my work. Ever since I was 16, I have had the opportunity to work with youth through various local organizations, including The Mecca MVMT, The Mecca Center’s youth initiative, MAS, ICNA, MQI and others dedicated to youth development. I’ve been honored to serve as a mentor, Qur’an teacher, camp counselor, and so many other roles for the youth of the Chicagoland area.

I love doing this work in the Chicagoland suburbs, where our community is so rich and vibrant. I am dedicated to cultivating an environment where young Muslims can build meaningful friendships, strengthen their relationship with Allah, and develop the confidence to grow to their full potential. I am committed to investing in the next generation and fostering a community in which every young person feels welcomed, supported, and inspired to thrive spiritually. It is my hope that through this work, our youth will carry forward a lasting love of their faith, and bring it with them into their schools, workplaces, and lives.

Iman Hamdan 

Sisters’ Youth Coordinator

Asalamu Alaikum!

My name is Iman Hamdan, and I am so excited to serve as the Sisters’ Youth Coordinator at The Mecca Center.

I’ve been part of the TMC community for a few months now, but youth work has been part of my life for much longer. I grew up serving in my own masjid’s youth programs, and that experience shaped my love for this work early on. I hold a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience from Lake Forest College, and my background includes teaching halaqas, Saturday school, and co-founding Dar Al Arqam Girls & Boys Club at my previous masjid.

What draws me most to this role is the chance to be present with our youth as they grow in faith, character, and community. My hope is for every sister who walks through our doors to feel a genuine connection to the masjid, not just a place she attends, but a space where she truly belongs and where her faith can come alive. Watching that growth unfold, in their deen, their friendships, their confidence, is something I never tire of, and I feel so fortunate to spend my days this way.
