This intensive two-day workshop offers students of knowledge a structured and rigorous introduction to the science of Hadith through a close reading of one of the most celebrated foundational texts in the Islamic tradition — Al-Mandhumah Al-Bayquniyyah. Under the instruction of Dr. Issam Eido, participants will work through the poem line by line, unpacking the essential terminology and principles that form the backbone of Hadith scholarship.
The primary text for this workshop is Sharh al-Bayquniyyah by Shaykh Abdullah Sirajul Din — a rich and authoritative classical commentary on the poem that will serve as the foundation of study throughout the two days. A copy of the text will be provided to all registered participants.

While the subject matter is technical in nature, the workshop is designed to be accessible to those beginning their journey in the Hadith sciences. Lectures will be delivered in English with careful explanation of Arabic terminology throughout. Sessions will be interactive with dedicated time for questions, allowing participants to engage deeply with the material.

IJAZAH OPPORTUNITY: Participants who memorize Al-Mandhumah Al-Bayquniyyah in Arabic will have the opportunity to receive an ijazah in the poem from Dr. Issam Eido.

The Primary Text in Arabic – For those who wish to study or follow along in Arabic, the commentary is available in two ways:
