Assalam Alaikum! The Mecca Scholars Fund 2023-2024 application process is starting!

This year, we are offering 2 scholarships for prospective applicants: a merit-based scholarship and a need-based scholarship, alhamdulilah!

We have listed below the specific requirements for each application. We have also included an FAQ as well for your convenience if you have any questions about the scholarships and application process. Please note you can only apply for one (1) scholarship. Any duplicate applications will not be considered.

Merit-Based Scholarships RequirementsNeed-Based Scholarships Requirements
• Active attendee of The Mecca Center and its programs
• A high school senior or undergraduate/graduate student with more than one semester until graduation
• 45 hours of volunteer work (unpaid) done at The Mecca Center and have the appropriate form(s) and signatures or will have them by the deadline for submission*
• One letter of recommendation from someone outside of The Mecca Center• Most recent report card/transcript.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• NOT a previous recipient of a Mecca Scholars Fund scholarship.

• Active attendee of The Mecca Center and its programs
• A high school senior or an undergrad/graduate student with more than one semester until graduation.
• 15 hours of volunteer work (unpaid) done at The Mecca Center and have the appropriate forms and signatures or will have them by the deadline for submission*
• One letter of recommendation from someone outside of The Mecca Center
• A completed 2023-2024 FAFSA Application and Student Aid Report• Most recent report card/transcript.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• NOT a previous recipient of a Mecca Scholars Fund scholarship. 

*Form will be available in the main office of The Mecca Center during business hours. No digital copies will be distributed.
