The Sahib Al-Quran girls program recently held an important lecture led by Sister Samar Alchammae about the idea of the compound effect, which is the concept of reaping huge rewards from a series of small, smart choices done consistently over time.

We had a discussion about the power that our daily habits have on who we ultimately become in terms of our character and our success. We collaborated and discussed how we can apply these ideas into our daily life to begin building those positive habits into our routine so we can create these habits that will ultimately lead to our success.

As a group focused on Qur’an, we addressed specific ways that we could build that consistent habit into our lives by first knowing why it is important to us.

The girls shared authentic ways that would help motivate them and keep them on track with the goals that they set. They also created ways to keep each other accountable and encouraged and empowered one another. At the end of the session, the girls and teachers received a special gift from Sister Samar to facilitate the learning of this subject.
