The Mecca Center is dedicated to supporting our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please see the various resources below for support services currently being offered:

Spiritual Support: We are all experiencing a challenging time but The Mecca Center’s religious advisors are here for you. For spiritual counseling and/or religious questions, please e-mail Imam and Religious Director Sheikh Hassan Aly at imam@meccacenter.org or Associate Imam and Youth Director Sheikh Tariq Musleh at tariq@meccacenter.org.

Family Counseling: The Mecca Center offers family counseling with Imam and Religious Director Shiekh Hassan Aly. If you are seeking support and guidance, please contact Sheikh Hassan Aly by e-mailing imam@meccacenter.org.

Grocery & Medication Delivery: The Mecca MVMT is offering a free grocery and medication delivery service for senior citizens and immuno-compromised individuals who are avoiding outdoor interactions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This service is for Willowbrook and surrounding areas from 10am to 5pm. Call the hotline for Arabic/English at 414-604-6283 and Urdu/English at 708-872-7532. Donations can be sent via Zelle to mvmtmeals@meccacenter.org.

Zakat – Financial Assistance: The Mecca Center is able to provide financial assistance to individuals and families in need of support. People seeking assistance must provide a current ID for each member of their household, proof of residency, as well as complete our Financial Assistance form. CIOGC COVID-19 Helpline: The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) has launched COVID-19 Joint Task Force Helpline (847) 737-1785 to provide support to our communities in the following areas: Coronavirus disease 2019, health related questions, non-emergency medical needs, confidential support for mental health-related issues, food and/or financial assistance, unemployment insurance compensation for laid-off workers, and e-learning resources and support. 

The Care Coalition: The Care Coalition is a grassroots and inclusive partnership of social/civic organizations and neighbors aimed at providing social, financial, and emotional support such as food delivery, financial grants, mental health/counseling, and census completion. The Care Coalition is a connector between residents who need care with those who can give care. All races, faiths, and backgrounds are welcome!
