As we reflect on the past few months, our Muslim Girl Scouts troop has been busy engaging in meaningful activities, making a positive impact in our community, and achieving significant milestones. Here’s a recap of our adventures:

November: We kicked off our journey with a hands-on cooking session, where our scouts learned the art of making delicious vegetable stir fry. It was a fantastic opportunity for our girls to hone their culinary skills and embrace healthy eating habits.

December: In the spirit of giving back, our troop dedicated December to service. We packaged food packs for the homeless across Chicago, spreading warmth and nourishment during the holiday season. Additionally, in collaboration with ChiCare, we extended our reach to support families in need, embodying the true spirit of compassion and solidarity.

Winter Break: During the winter break, our girls joined forces with our sister Troop 56597 from The Mecca Center for a series of impactful fundraisers. From selling bracelets to hosting a Nothing Bundt Cakes fundraiser for Gaza, our collective efforts raised over $12k, showcasing the power of unity and generosity. We’re still selling bracelets, so don’t hesitate to reach out to troop25605@gmail.com to contribute and show your support!

January: As the new year dawned, our troop delved into exciting winter science activities. From exploring heat transfer to create ice cream with Cadettes to building robots with Brownies, our girls embraced the wonders of science and technology with enthusiasm and curiosity. Additionally, our Juniors learned the art of knitting, crafting beautiful hats and scarves for their loved ones, fostering creativity and warmth in the midst of winter.

These past few months have been filled with growth, learning, and service, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Muslim Girl Scouts for their dedication and commitment. Here’s to many more adventures and milestones ahead as we continue to empower our girls to become leaders of tomorrow!
