An appreciation dinner was held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 for all the teachers and volunteers of the Mecca Quran Institute (MQI). Three amazing teachers that will be leaving the institute this year were acknowledged and rewarded for all their hard work. The Mecca Quran Institute wishes them the best in their future endeavors.

Jana came to the United States from Syria for a few months to visit her family. She was a great addition to our MQI Elementary program and helped us immensely throughout the year. She is heading back to Syria to finish medical school.

Alma has been with the Mecca Center for the past several years. She started her journey at the old Mecca Center building and continued to be a great help as we moved into the new building. Alma worked her way up to become one of our beloved Women’s advanced level teachers.

Lynn was one of Sheikh Ahmed’s students when she was very young. She grew up to teach her own class using the Bidaya book in our MQI Elementary program. Lynn started with us when we opened MQI, and has been a great addition to our MQI family. Lynn will be moving to begin dental school in the fall.
