Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
To God we belong and to Him we return.
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our dearly beloved community member and brother, Dr. Mohammed Tawfik Abdel-Moneim.
The Mecca Center offers prayers and condolences to the bereaved family of our dear Brother Tawfik.
Brother Tawfik’s family have been active members of the Mecca Center community as Brother Tawfik was a regular Mecca Center congregant, his son Eiman was a Khateeb, and his daughter-in-law, Sister Asma Akhras, is a former board member.
He will be missed dearly by his wife, Magda Abdel-Moneim, son, Eiman Abdel-Moneim, daughter, Tania Abdel-Moneim, and his three grandchildren Yousuf, Maaria, and Sereen.
May Allah SWT have mercy on him and grant him the highest level of Jannah, insha’Allah.
Due to recent confirmed COVID-19 cases in The Mecca Center community, and in keeping with public health guidelines, the Azza for late Brother Tawfik Abdel-Moneim will be “drive through.” Visitors will be requested to stay in their cars to greet the family.
The Azza will be held from 6:30pm to 8:30pm tomorrow (July 23) at The Mecca Center, 16W560 91st St, Willowbrook, IL 60527.
