The Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) and the Mecca Center are offering free school and sports physicals for students attending Anne M. Jeans Elementary School, Burr Ridge Middle School, Hinsdale South High School, and other local schools on Saturday, August 18 from 10am to 2pm at the Mecca Center gym.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ​the physicians WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS.​ You will need to obtain any required immunizations from your own physician or other sources such as the DuPage County Health Department. Appointments are required for immunizations at the DuPage County Health Department. Please call them at 630-682-7400. The Southeast Public Health Center is located on Cass Avenue in Westmont. The DuPage County Health Department may charge a fee for immunizations depending on your insurance coverage. All students entering prekindergarten, kindergarten and sixth grade for the 2018-2019 academic year are required to have a school physical. All students in fifth through twelfth grade that will be participating in interscholastic sports need a sports physical.

PLEASE NOTE THAT A SPORTS PHYSICAL DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A SCHOOL PHYSICAL. A SCHOOL PHYSICAL DOES MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A SPORTS PHYSICAL AS LONG AS THE BOX ABOUT SPORTS PHYSICALS ON THE SCHOOL PHYSICAL IS CHECKED.
