Asalamu Alaikum,
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un
إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
To God we belong and to Him we return.
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of one of the founders and board members of The Mecca Center, our dearly beloved community member and brother, Dr. Bashar Kashlan.
The Mecca Center offers prayers and condolences to the bereaved family of our dear brother Dr. Bashar. He is survived by his wife Rafah, and his daughters Belsam, Rania, Lana, and Danna.
He is remembered for his sincerity, kindness, and brilliance, and most of all for his immense generosity. Along with being a founder of The Mecca Center, the cornerstone of our community, Dr. Bashar helped provide education to orphan and refugee children around the world. He did all of this with his unforgettable and permanent smile.
As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Smiling in the face of your brother (another) is an act of charity.” Let us remember our dear brother Dr. Bashar’s inspiring generosity, good deeds, and warmth of his smile.
May Allah SWT have mercy on him and grant him the highest level of Jannah, insha’Allah.
Janazah prayer will be held at The Mecca Center tomorrow, October 2, 2020, after the first Jummah prayer service at 1pm.
البقاء لله
